GunterFirm Employment Law Scholarship Program

At GunterFirm, we are dedicated to supporting the next generation of legal professionals and advocates for employee workplace rights. We have been fortunate to meet and work with many law school students. After working with our firm, they have developed an interest in the fascinating cases we handle within the employment law field and pursued legal careers handling these important matters for employees. We know how important our role is to foster the future employment lawyers.

Our Employment Law Scholarship Program aims to help students and recent graduates pursuing careers in employment law. This scholarship is open to students and recent graduates demonstrating an interest in employment law.

How much is the scholarship?

Twice per year, on the same date of the Florida Bar Exam, we will select one individual to receive a $1,000 scholarship.

Eligibility Requirements

The scholarship is open to law school students currently enrolled or recently graduated who are preparing for or sitting for the Florida Bar exam. In addition, applicants must demonstrate an interest in employment law.

How to Apply

To apply, please send us an email to info@gunterfirm.com with the following:

Your Name, Email Address, Phone Number, Proof of enrollment in law school or recent graduation, and your resume. Finally, send one paragraph about an employment law case decided in the state or federal courts in Florida during the previous 12 months, including the name and citation of the case, and why that case interests you.

Application Deadline

For our February scholarship, the applications must be submitted one week prior to the Florida Bar Exam. For our July scholarship, the applications must be submitted one week prior to the Florida Bar Exam

How we will select a winner

Twice a year, we will select a winner of the $1,000 scholarship from the pool of applicants who submit all pieces of information above. Once verified, the individual who best demonstrates their interest and passion in employment law, and the desire to enter that field of law during their career, will be selected as the winner. Winner will be notified via email and the award will be distributed with one week. Additionally, all winners must consent to the use of their essay, photograph, and name being used on any marketing materials of GunterFirm, including the firm’s website and social media channels.
